Here are more details on how you can participate:
On Sunday October 6th Rogers Hometown Hockey will be broadcasting in Halton Hills. The Mayor has requested that all Clubs and associations join in the Hometown Parade of Champions. The PPG has entered the Parade and we need people! Some of you that already know about the Parade, believe that it is for hockey only, Amy Townsend from the Parks and Rec department has confirmed that it is for everyone. Rogers Hometown Hockey highlights the whole town not just hockey. As many of you know, we are in need of more Winter Playing space, This is an excellent opportunity to show the town how many people play Pickleball in Halton Hills and show the Town that we should be front of the line when considering new spaces. Basketball, Volleyball and Badminton are a few groups entered in the Parade and they are the groups that we will be competing with to get that space in the future. Thousands of residents will be in attendance, and it is a short walk for such big exposure! The Parade Details are as Follows: Meet up near Shoppers Drug Mart on Sinclair Ave at 5 pm The Parade will begin at 5:30 pm sharp The parade will end at the Mobile Sportsnet studio in the Mold Masters parking lot. The Parade will be Live on Sportsnet during the Pre-Game broadcast, Hosted by Ron MacLean and Tara Slone just before the NHL Game. Bring your Paddles invite your friends and family (Children and Grand Children will have a wonderful memory to Share!) and let’s have a big turn out for PICKLEBALL in the Hills!
